Baby crying too much at night: 5 golden rules to calm him after trying everything
There are several reasons for a baby crying hot tears in the middle of the night. Indeed, if a child is sobbing it is to signal to his parents that something is wrong. By doing so, he expects them to reassure him and ease his anguish. Baby crying can mean many things, such as fear (night terrors and nightmares), hunger, cold, physical pain. (bad digestion, digestive disorders), discomfort etc.
Your baby is crying a lot and you do not know how to appease him? After making sure that he is not hungry or thirsty and that he is not sick, here are five ways to calm him down.
1) Avoid placing too bulky items in bed
Imposing or disruptive elements, such as big blankets, blankets, etc. who could wake him up
2) The bath
Your baby loves water! Up to 3 months, the bath can be useful to calm it when nothing else works. In contact with this element, he finds the sensations he felt in the amniotic fluid. You can share this bath with him, placing him on you, on his back, making sure he is not cold. He will then discover his body and the limits of his movements.
3) The music
If during your pregnancy you used to listen to music, it is likely that your baby will remember it and enjoy hearing it again. He will remember the comfortable and protective moments he has spent in your belly. If you do not listen to music, there is still time to create a ritual. Favor a soft sound, which you will make him listen during your moments of exchange (bath, care, games …). If he begins to cry, this music can soothe him.
4) The swing to rock him
It’s no secret, babies like to be rocked. Rock it back and forth rather than from left to right on a regular basis. He will be surrounded and moving, as in your belly. Be careful, do not rock systematically so that he falls asleep, at the risk of creating an addiction.
5) Good mattress
Remember to invest in a good mattress that will not sweat baby and that will comfortably cajole throughout the night. Firm mattresses are great for keeping baby’s spine.
6) Ventilate the room
Be sure to ventilate the room regularly to chase dust and damp morning air.
